When I was little girl, growing up on Nick-at-Nite (when it was good), Alfred Hitchcock’s anthology show was one of my favorites. There was a certain episode “Thanatos Palace Hotel” (about a man who wants to die, so he goes to a retreat to do just that) that impressed me so much (at least it must have), for many years later, I wrote a story with a similar premise. Though there are several differences, I was uncertain about publishing this story as anything more than a fan fiction type piece.
This will be the longest piece of work I will ever publish on my blog–I prefer all my posts and/or pages to be no more than a blog post long (as my attention span for reading something on a screen is very short). I have revised this piece many times over several years, and would hate not to share it. Perhaps someday, this blog will serve as my portfolio, and a publisher/editor/agent will come across this, and think they might like to see what else I have done.
Cheers!
