Micropoetry Monday: Limericks

Dove shamrock

There once was an April Fool—
a year-round corporate tool.
He was a yes man to a tee,
who didn’t wash after he pooped & peed,
losing his handshake in a 6-foot duel.

There was once a girl who grew tubers,
who, one day, dug up a goober.
When she turned him into butter,
it only made her stutter
& need an elocution tutor.

There once was a gal with a patch of carrots,
worth about 24 karats,
when along came a retired gold miner,
who needed them for his shiny diner
to garnish his Welsh rarebit.
